PLOS Global Public Health – explore our Ebola research

In our latest blog post, contributor Krutika Kuppalli reflects on the decade that has passed since Ebola Virus Disease was declared an emergency:

On August 8, 2014, the World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), the highest global health alert, signifying the outbreak posed a public health risk to other Member States and necessitated a coordinated international response.4

Since PLOS Global Public Health began publishing research in 2021, we’ve published a diverse selection of interdisciplinary research to document and learn from the Ebola outbreak and the outbreak response.
