PLOS Mental Health Special Seminar: The Roles of Inclusion and Leadership in Shaping Well-being in the Workplace

For World Mental Health Day 2024, PLOS Mental Health hosted a special discussion focusing on this year’s theme of ‘It is time to prioritize mental health in the workplace’. Our Executive Editor, Dr Karli Montague-Cardoso is joined by the journal’s ‘Occupational Mental Health’ Section Editors Enoch Li (Bearapy) and Dr Sarah Jones as well as ‘Neurodiversity & Mental Health’ Section Editor Dr Luke Beardon and guest panelist Brian Henderson – founder of Whole Business Wellness. They discuss how diversity and inclusion can shape wellbeing in the workplace – especially in the context of authenticity, stigma and variations in comfortability with disclosure. They also discuss the role of leadership and the importance of ensuring that leaders are comfortable and supported when promoting workplace wellbeing.
