2013 saw the release of plenty of books about health and medicine, and Speaking of Medicine has provided a platform for independent reviews from leading academics . As a topical taster, Jean Adams of Newcastle University reviewed David Stuckler and Sanjay Basu’s The Body Economic: Why Austerity Kills, which looks at the health consequences of the recession.
