This week in PLoS Medicine: Preventing road deaths; Bias in animal trial reports

Read the new papers published in PLoS Medicine this week, including a Research Article that uses computer crash simulations, as well as real-world data, to evaluate whether driver obesity is associated with greater risk of body injury in motor vehicle crashes, a Policy Forum that discusses policies to protect pedestrians, pedal cyclists, and motor cyclists from injury, and the March Editorial that calls for better data to support policy changes that could reduce the huge global burden of death and injury from road traffic crashes.

Also published this week is a Research in Translation piece that discusses the controversies and possibilities of translating the results of animal experiments into human clinical trial.
